Code Concise is a software design and development business based in South Wales, UK. We build desktop applications, web front ends and the systems behind them, and we bring nearly 30 years of experience across defence, commercial software and games.
Defence
What we do
Desktop software with rich interfaces, written in C# / .NET and C / C++, that stays fast and stable even under heavy load. Windows and its UI frameworks are our home ground.
Front ends in TypeScript, React and similar tools, backed by REST APIs and joined cleanly to the server behind them. Layouts are responsive, so they work on any screen.
Fast rendering for modelling, simulation and synthetic environments, drawing on years in the games industry. We also build custom GIS and mapping tools in 2D and 3D.
Where we work
In these fields, software has to be correct, secure, traceable and fast as a matter of course. We're used to working from detailed specifications, keeping up as requirements change, and staying within the regulatory and security rules that come with the territory.

Flagship project
A Windows desktop application for viewing imagery, terrain and LIDAR in 2D and 3D, with APP-6 military symbols, overlays and orders of battle on top. Built in C# and WinUI 3, with a native C++ and Direct3D 12 renderer underneath.

A responsive, full-stack site for an independent automotive specialist, covering their services, booking enquiries and news. Bootstrap and JavaScript on the front, PHP and MySQL behind it.
Several defence contracts delivering software into secure, regulated environments, from embedded interfaces and cryptographic key management to full technical ownership of a modern Windows planning and control application.
Eight years building and growing an in-house modelling and simulation capability for civil and defence use, covering distributed simulation, integration with other systems, and fast 2D and 3D visualisation.
